Hull City boss Phil Brown wants a reunion with Newcastle United midfielder Kevin Nolan.
The Mirror says Brown is ready to open talks with the Toon about buying the ex-Bolton midfielder - or taking him on loan for a year.
Nolan, 26, has had an unhappy time on the Tyne, but Brown is a big fan after working with him at Bolton for years. Newcastle bought Nolan for around £4million, but that does not worry Hull who paid even more for Jimmy Bullard, in one of the season's most unfortunate deals.
Nolan is also liked by his former boss Sam Allardyce at Blackburn - but Big Sam is working within a budget and may be reluctant to pay cash, giving Hull the edge.
