Hull City boss Phil Brown isn't panicking over their battle with Sunderland for Manchester United striker Fraizer Campbell.
He said: "We have been in constant contact with Manchester United, Fraizer and his father, and hopefully we can now sit down and draft a deal before he goes on his family holiday."
Hull have also expressed their interest in signing England striker Michael Owen, who is out of contract at Newcastle from Wednesday.
Brown has had no contact with the 29-year-old or his representatives but is now keen to initiate talks.
Brown said: "It would be remiss of me to say we have spoken to anyone with regard to Michael, he has had a contract to honour.
"But once July 1 comes along hopefully that will change."
