Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has broken a club record with France's Nations League qualifying win over Portugal.
Lloris became Tottenham's all-time most-capped player at international level as he led France to a 1-0 victory in Portugal on Saturday night.
Goalkeeper and captain of club and country, Lloris has now won 81 international caps since becoming a Spurs player in 2012, taking him ahead of Jan Vertonghen's 80 caps for Belgium during his time at the club.
Vertonghen overtook Pat Jennings' previous record of 75 appearances for Northern Ireland as a Spur in June, 2019.
Lloris, who has well over 100 caps for his country across his whole playing career, completed the full match in Lisbon as Les Bleus went top of UEFA Nations League Group A3 with one game remaining and became the first team to qualify for the tournament finals, N'Golo Kante bagging the winner in the second half. Moussa Sissoko was an unused substitute for France.
