Chris Hughton has seen new contract talks with Newcastle United stall.
The Mirror says Hughton's current Newcastle deal runs only until the end of this current season.
Talks have already taken place over new deal but the two parties have failed to agree terms with the offer to Hughton believed to be unsatisfactory.
Newcastle have yet to come back with an improved offer since taking their original package off the table. It means Hughton's contract is set to run out at the end of this season.
It also means, despite turning around a club that was on its knees last season, Hughton's job could yet be up for grabs at the end of the current campaign should the current owners - or new owners if they decide to sell - go for a bigger name.
