Hughton insists Brighton attack not dependent on Murray

Chris Hughton doesn't think his Brighton side is too dependent on attacker Glenn Murray.

Murray has scored three of Albion's five Premier League goals so far, but the Seagulls manager believes he has other options if the striker drops in form.

"No, because at the moment, he is in the team ahead of Locadia, who we like, perhaps simply because he has scored goals," Hughton told The Argus.

"If that changes and Glenn is not playing so well or isn't scoring goals or has an injury, I'd like to think we have very good competition in Locadia and Andone to come back in.

"All players like to be kept on their toes, whether it's competition or doing well, Glenn is no different.

"He had similar competition last January (Ulloa and Locadia) and it's a long, hard season and Glenn's form, the same as everyone else's, will be up and down, he'll be in the side or not in the side the same as everyone else. But at the minute Glenn is looking on the top of his game."
