Manchester City boss Mark Hughes believes Premiership rivals are using their mega spending to lessen the pressure on their jobs.

Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill said this week City should be favourites to win the title, but Hughes said: "There are a number of managers in and around us that possibly use our situation to lessen the expectation of their own club."

Hughes, meanwhile, unveiled £15m signing Kolo Toure on Thursday.
