Portsmouth midfielder Richard Hughes has hailed the signing of striker Dave Kitson who he feels will be a valuable asset for Pompey. Kitson joined Pompey from Stoke on transfer deadline day along with Liam Lawrence, and Hughes is looking forward to playing with the former Reading forward after the international break.
Hughes told his club's official website: "He's a quality player. Every time I've played against him it hasn't been an enjoyable experience.
"He holds the ball up well and is a very clever player. He's really good with his back to goal and he scores a few as well. He'll be a good asset for us.
"The international break can give the new boys a bit of time to settle, so in that sense it's come at a good time."
