Hughes: I've been too successful at Falkirk

As Falkirk slumped to the bottom of the SPL a section of disgruntled fans have been calling for boss John Hughes to be axed. Hughes responded: "I'd like to think that the real supporters know the job that I've done at this club. My record speaks for itself.

"Getting promoted to the SPL, two semi-finals in the last three years, full internationals and five Under-21s.

"We've had some good times along the way. But maybe we gave too much and the expectation levels outweighed what we should really be all about, like our remit of staying in the SPL."
