Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has admitted his interest in Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.

The French centre-back has recently come back from a long-term injury and is likely to depart on a loan move in search of regular playing time.

When enquired about the interest in the 22-year-old, Hughes confirmed to the Sentinel: "There is genuine interest. We'd like to make it happen if we can.

"The boy himself has to make a decision. We are one of many interested parties but we're very hopeful. We're still doing a number of deals."
