Southampton manager Mark Hughes has admitted that Manolo Gabbiadini is an injury doubt for the side.

The Saints are facing a tough game against Liverpool this weekend, but it appears Gabbiadini may not be able to participate.

And since Danny Ings is unavailable due to the terms of his initial loan deal, the Saints are facing a crisis in attacking positions for the game.

Hughes said to the Daily Echo: "We have got a couple of issues and probably the main concern is Manolo Gabbiadini who pulled up in training.

"He has an issue in the lower hamstring behind the knee and it might just be a neural thing but we have to wait until tomorrow to see if it settles down and he's an option for us."
