Will Hughes believes that Watford have the quality going into the busiest weeks of the season.

With the Christmas period around the corner, every club will experience the struggle of playing so many games in quick succession. And some will be better prepared than others.

But Hughes believes the Hornets are ready for the fixture congestion.

"Every Christmas period is a big challenge and it makes and breaks some teams' seasons," he said to the Watford Observer after his side lost 3-0 to Liverpool at home.

"We're ready for it, we've got a squad capable of competing in every game and we're confident going into it."
