Huddersfield Town enquire about Nurnberg playmaker Sabiri

Huddersfield Town have sent an enquiry to Nurnberg for their attacking midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri.

The 20-year old Moroccan scored five goals in nine league matches for the Bundesliga.2 side.

However, in a blow for the Terriers, Nurnberg sporting director Andreas Bornemann has ruled out selling the highly-rated playmaker.

"It is true that we have received an enquiry from Huddersfield Town. However, we have made it clear we do not want to lose Sabiri."

Town boss David Wagner wants to add Sabiri's spark in his squad, with the player also showing an interest in moving to the Premier League.

Laurent Depoitre, Aaron Mooy, Jonas Lossl, Tom Ince, Kasey Palmer, Danny Williams, Steve Mounie, Scott Malone and Mathias Jorgensen have all been signed by the Yorkshire club this summer.
