Andy Yiadom has rejected a new contract offer from Barnsley.
Huddersfield Town are expected to lodge a third bid for the 25-year old.
The Terriers have already had two bids rejected earlier this month, and Sky Sports understands they are preparing to launch their third bid imminently.
The Ghanian international, who plays predominantly as a right-back but can also fill a void in midfield, has also been a target for Swansea this summer.
Yiadom made 32 league appearances for the Championship club last season.
