Huddersfield closing deal for Reading defender Danny Williams

Huddersfield Town are closing on a deal for USA defender Danny Williams.

Huddersfield boss David Wagner has been negotiating a deal for the 28-year-old, who was offered a fresh contract to stay at Reading, says The Sun.

But Williams has decided to swap the Madejski Stadium for the Premier League and will complete a free transfer when the transfer window opens next month.

Wagner has been looking to tie up big-money deals and has agreed a £10million fee for Manchester City midfielder Aaron Mooy.

He is also in the hunt for £8.5million Chelsea winger Izzy Brown, who was on loan at the John Smith's Stadium last season.
