Huddersfield centre-back Schindler happy for Pritchard after West Ham draw

Huddersfield Town centre-back Christopher Schindler believes they were worth more than their draw with West Ham on Saturday.

The Terriers were off to a flying start with Alex Pritchard scoring in the opening six minutes of their game against West Ham before Felipe Anderson's equaliser.

Schindler spoke about the benefits of getting that early goal: “It's a really good feeling to score at home. Pritchard knew exactly what to do to get that goal, it was a really good goal. I think after he scored his goal we got better, we defended better.

“That goal was important for us but of course I'd rather have finished with three points."

Town's German defender went on to explain that his side could have taken more than just the point from the game if they would have finished more of their chances.

He also told HTTV: “I think we did a good job at the front, and we created opportunities at the front – we just didn't use them unfortunately.

“Obviously they also had opportunities to score but they have a world class offensive line."

“If we don't use them then it's always going to be either a one goal game or a tight game."
