Huddersfield boss Jan Siewert on Arsenal defeat: We must fight

Huddersfield boss Jan Siewert found positives in defeat at home to Arsenal.

Two first-half goals from Alex Iwobi and Alexandre Lacazette condemned the Terriers to a narrow defeat at the John Smith's Stadium.

Siewert said: "I want to show that I fight for these supporters and these lads to stay in the Premier League.

“We have to fight and then the luck comes back, but if we don't fight then we will get no luck."

Despite going into the break 2-0 down, Town players came out fighting in the second half and put in a dominant display, leading to Town earning a late consolation goal through a Sead Kolasinac own goal.

“I think the way we created the chances, and at least we scored, we showed that we are on the right wave.

“We showed again today that we can create many chances which made me very proud.

“This is exactly the attitude I want to see. We showed that we fight for each other and that we fight on the pitch."
