Hreidarsson insists Portsmouth players remaining professional

Hermann Hreidarsson claims no one is panicking after Portsmouth asked the Premier League whether they could sell players outside the transfer window. Pompey are currently battling against a winding-up order and could go out of business unless they find a buyer or raise much-needed funds.

Hreidarsson knows the situation is out of the players' hands and the only thing they can worry about is helping secure three points against Stoke.

"Well the people behind the scenes are working hard to sort the situation out," he told Sky Sports News.

"We just have to try and do our job. That's all we can do. We just have to go out on Saturday and try to pick up points.

"That's the end of the matter really. That's what we'll be trying to do and people behind the scenes are trying to sort out the club.

"The club has to stay alive. There's a lot at stake. The players will stay professional and keep trying to do our job."
