Howe: Sunderland will find it hard in the Championship

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has sent a warning to newly relegated Sunderland.

The Cherries put the final nail in the coffin for Sunderland when Josh King's late goal secured a 1-0 victory and cemented Sunderland's destiny of falling down into the Championship.

Speaking from experience, Howe let the Black Cats know that it won't be easy to bounce back.

"Every year it gets harder and harder," said Howe to The Telegraph.

"Those teams who drop out of the Premier League have a big advantage with the parachute payments and everything that brings. But there are other teams already there who are very ambitious and clubs who are desperate to get back up there. It's quite a mix and makes it one of the best leagues in the world, without doubt."

With the fallout that comes from relegation, Sunderland will be looking to find some continuity when they play in the Championship next season.
