Eddie Howe confirmed Bournemouth are active on the market amid reports the club is pushing hard to sign Levante's Jefferson Lerma.

The manager, however, refused to comment on a player the Cherries have already sent two offers for.

Both bids were reportedly rejected, including the £22m offered last week.

"I'm not going to comment on individual players, I don't think that's right. But yes, we are active in the market and trying to bring players in.", Howe told the Daily Echo.

"I always consider us active in the transfer market until the window closes. It wouldn't matter whether we had signed 10 players or one player."
