Howe backs ex-West Ham, Spurs boss Redknapp for Scotland job

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has backed Harry Redknapp to begin his international management career with Scotland.

The 70-year-old last managed Birmingham City before being sacked after a poor start to this season. He has had spells at West Ham United, Tottenham, QPR and Southampton across his long management career.

Howe told the Daily Echo: "Harry has proved very recently that he still has tremendous desire to coach and to manage. I've got full admiration for him for that.

"Whatever job angle he wants to take next in his career, full credit to him.

"International management is something I always felt he would do really well at. He has got the ability to motivate players and to get players to run through brick walls for him and I think that's a great commodity to have."
