Howe admits Bournemouth can't afford Solanke replacement

Eddie Howe does not believe that he has the money to buy a striker in the January transfer window.

The Cherries are hoping to find a replacement for Dominic Solanke, who suffered an injury during the 2-1 loss to Wolves.

Solanke joins striker Joshua King on the treatment table, which means that Howe's side are very light in the attacking department.

Callum Wilson is their only recognised first team striker who is fit to play.

But they may have to get by until the end of the season, according to the manager.

He told reporters: "I don't think we'd have the funds to buy a striker in January.

"Listen, I don't know, I've not spoken to anybody, but if you want to sign a striker that can play in the Premier League, I think you're going to need a lot of money."
