Houston Dynamo are set to be given some good news with the expected return of influential forward Will Bruin.
The 24-year old has not featured for the Dynamo since scoring in the 3-1 win over reigning MLS Cup champions Sporting Kansas City at the end of August but could be back in action this weekend.
A foot injury has kept 10-goal Bruin out of Dom Kinnear's line-up but his imminent return ahead of this weekend's must-win clash with New York Red Bull has the Texan outfit in a positive mood.
Bruin's injury handed an opportunity to Omar Cummings which gives Kinnear a little bit of a headache when pondering his potential comeback.
"It's a good problem to have (with Bruin coming back into the team).
"Sometimes a guy going down, gives a guy a chance and Omar's definitely done it production-wise and play wise.
"It's something we haven't had in a while, but it's a good thing to have."
As he continues to prepare for the trip to Red Bull Arena, Bruin added: "It's been frustrating because it's time.
"It's one of those injuries that there's nothing I can do to speed it up. It's just a process and I don't like that.
"I don't want to come back not 100 percent because I feel I'd be hurting the team and Omar doing a good job.
"Hopefully I feel better tomorrow and that'll be a good progress towards the weekend."
