Gerard Houllier's backroom team are remaining at Aston Villa.
The Birmingham Mail says Houllier's assistant Gary McAllister and first-team coach Gordon Cowans, who took charge for the final five games of the season, are still employed by Villa following the former boss's departure by mutual consent for health reasons on Wednesday.
Randy Lerner will allow Houllier's successor to decide whether to retain the services of McAllister, Cowans, goalkeeping coach Rafa Gonzalez and fitness coach Robert Duverne or to bring in his own backroom staff.
Villa have kept the quartet on for the time being to avoid a repeat of last summer when Martin O'Neill caused havoc by resigning and taking all his coaches with him.
