Brett Holman was on the mark for Aston Villa in their friendly win over Burton.

Holman netted a second-half winner as Aston Villa battled back from behind to beat Burton 2-1 in Saturday's pre-season friendly at Pirelli Stadium.

Australia international Holman, a summer arrival from AZ Alkmaar, struck the deciding goal for Paul Lambert's side in the 83rd minute of their opening pre-season fixture.

Hosts Burton had earlier taken a ninth-minute lead through a long-range effort from Robbie Weir before Villa drew level just before half-time following an own goal by triallist Marcus Holness.
