Holden set to sign new Bolton contract

Stuart Holden will sign a new deal with Bolton Wanderers according to ESPN.

The 27-year old USA international midfielder has agreed a one-year extension and will soon put pen to paper on the fresh contract.

Holden, who is returning to full fitness after a frustrating couple of seasons with knee and leg injuries, comes out of contract this summer but will sign on for at least the next 12 months.

The Scotland-born Holden, who joined Bolton from Houston Dynamo in 2010, is back training with the MLS club to keep fit ahead of the USA camp for upcoming friendlies with Belgium and Germany and a trio of World Cup qualifiers in June.
