Manchester United are holding talks with the representatives of Gabriel Magalhães as they look to disrupt Arsenal's move for the Lille defender.

The news coming out of the UK on Thursday morning stated the 22-year-old was about to undergo a medical with the Gunners.

However, in a late twist of events, Sky Sports says United have made one last push for the Brazilian centre-half.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign a left-sided centre-back to pair with Harry Maguire and has been watching Gabriel over the past season.

Now with Arsenal moving closer to sealing a transfer, Solskjaer wants United to make a last-ditch attempt to steal one from their Premier League rivals.

Napoli have also made a late run at Gabriel, but it is believed he will head to the Premier League this summer in a deal worth £27m.

Whether he lands in London or Manchester remains to be as seen.
