Hojbjerg: I'm so happy; Spurs move just feels right

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg admits the chance to play regularly at Tottenham Hotspur stadium was a big influence on his decision to sign with the Londoners.

The former Southampton midfielder completed his move on Tuesday.

He said, “That was also one of the first things I said, especially to my wife.

“I said that hopefully one day when the fans are allowed in again, (I want) to be the first one in that stadium because it's unreal. It is really among the best – maybe the best. The stadium is something to be proud of and it's amazing to have that stadium as a home now, hopefully with lots of good memories, lots of good achievements and titles in it."

Hojbjerg also remarked: “I'm just so happy and it feels – I don't want to say perfect because nothing is perfect – but it feels right, now that I am a part of this team and this club, because I feel I have something to give and I also feel that the club has so much for me to learn from to become better.

"I became a very good player at Southampton but I want to become an even better player and honestly there is no better place with the coach, the people at the top, the players and now all that I have seen of the training ground and the system… there is no better place to try to become a world-class player."
