Hojbjerg admits Spurs players targeting revenge against Arsenal

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg says there's a sense of revenge ahead of tonight's North London derby against Arsenal.

Hojbjerg wants the pain of Tottenham's defeat in the first North London derby of the season to fuel their bid for victory in the reverse fixture.

He said: “There's a great hunger from everyone to show that what happened last time at the Emirates is absolutely a no-go, and absolutely something that is not worthy of us. Defeats like that hurt. It's something that, as a player, you cannot accept. It was not good. It did hurt a lot."

With the battle for the Champions League spots still raging — a draw would mathematically keep alive Spurs' hopes but really they need a win — it makes tonight's clash an even more mouthwatering prospect.

Hojbjerg added: “For the club, for the players, for the fans, the North London derby is the game in terms of points, in terms of pride, in terms of pushing for where we want to be."
