Hoffenheim defender Fabian Johnson is believed to be suffering from a niggling hip injury that may keep him out of USA's upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
The 25-year old left-back missed Hoffenheim's 3-0 win over Greuther Furth on the weekend with what the German club reported to be a hip problem putting him in doubt for the US' home clash with Costa Rica on March 22.
The US dropped their opening fixture of the final round of 2014 qualifying 2-1 to Honduras and will be looking to bounce back when they take on the Costa Ricans at Dick's Sporting Goods Park before heading to the Azteca Stadium for a massive clash with Mexico on March 26.
