German outfit TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have announced a long-term partnership with Indian company U Sports, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. U Sports, a division of the finance and media company Unilazer, will work with Hoffenheim to develop the grassroots game in India.
The project, scheduled to start in early 2015, will involve a talent search at 1000 schools in 50 Indian cities with the hope of seeing nearly half a million players in action. From this, Hoffenheim will select 30 young talents to travel to Germany and train using the club's 'Academy Achtzehn99' philosophy.
