Roy Hodgson has urged England to emulate the likes of Denmark, Greece or Leicester City during the upcoming European Championships.
Despite their wonderful qualification campaign, England head into Euro2016 in France as dark horses and not many believe that the Three Lions will be able to claim triumph in the competition.
Manager Hodgson is well aware of England's tag as underdogs but has urged his side to emulate shock Euro winners Denmark (1992) and Greece (2004) and surprise Premier League victors Leicester, by pulling off an upset in the UEFA tournament.
The 68-year-old said: "It has happened in the past. Nobody expected Denmark to win it in 92 and nobody expected Greece to win the Euros. No one expected Leicester to win the Premier League either.
"Everyone's got to have that hope, that dream, that thought of 'Who knows?'. If we really play well, do our best and produce the type of football we can produce, which we've shown in quite a few games recently, who knows where that will lead us?
"As a coach, all you can do is prepare a team for every game that comes along, take it one game at a time. We've seen it this year with Leicester."
