Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has paid tribute to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
The former Inter Milan coach was asked about offering advice to Simone Inzaghi ahead of the Champions League final.
Hodgson told La Repubblica: "Me giving advice to Inzaghi? How stupid.
"Guardiola? Pep was fantastic. The first revolutionary in Premier was Wenger for his game at Arsenal. Guardiola instead brought all of English football to the highest levels. The real strength of his City, transmitted to the players, is above all to do many things at an exceptional level, but with a solid team at the basis.
"It's not just the ideas he brings, some of which aren't too innovative, but the constancy of work, the commitment to always improve, the humility to learn without limits. For this reason their level almost never decreases. In fact, they have won five of the last six Premier Leagues.
"Not only for the class they embody but above all for their incredible constancy. Today's football is also, or above all, this."
