England legend Glenn Hoddle thinks Declan Rice will have to leave West Ham United to reach his potential.
The Hammers are stubbornly trying to keep ahold of the Three Lions star amid interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.
But Hoddle thinks Rice will need to leave London Stadium in order to flourish.
"Rice is just a player that is going to get better and better and better," Hoddle told football.london.
"West Ham fans will not like what I am going to say but he has got to be playing with a top team, a really top team. Because he is going to mature in his game.
"In three or four years' time, he's going to be a hell of a player."
