Former Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb believes the Gunners may be better using the Europa League as their primary route back to the top level of continental competition.

Speaking in The Independent, Belarusian the midfielder said: "Arsenal could do what Manchester United did.

"They should be aiming to win every competition, which they are capable of doing.

"The Europa League offers another opportunity for them to qualify for the Champions League. If the chance presents itself, they should go for it."
