Manchester United's historic preseason tour of India is under threat.
It is believed senior United officials were close to signing contracts for up to five pre-season matches in July and early August in preparation for the 2020-21 campaign, says the Mirror.
But those plans – including a first-ever trip to play in India – are now on hold and under review, with club bosses waiting to see how long the coronavirus lockdown lasts.
United's pre-season tour is a huge operation – and a massive money-spinner for the club.
It could cost them £16million this summer if the coronavirus crisis forces them to scrap their usual globetrotting.
