Hislop: Man Utd left-back Shaw to join Newcastle & Danny Rose will replace him

Ex-Newcastle United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has claimed that Luke Shaw will be joining Newcastle while Manchester United will bring in Danny Rose as a replacement.

There is a lot of speculation surrounding the future of Shaw and Rose at their respective clubs.

And Hislop has now claimed that the United man will be joining Newcastle while the Red Devils will bring in Rose from Tottenham as a replacement.

Hislop told ESPN FC: "I think Shaw is likely to leave. Jose Mourinho, as much as he's started him a bit of late, I don't think he's ever been a fan. Newcastle would have him, gladly, and probably that fresh start is exactly what Luke Shaw needs.

"Danny Rose, he had a few things to say earlier in the season when he was injured, after Kyle Walker left, criticising Tottenham's transfer policy. I thought the writing was on the wall for Danny Rose and he would be a welcome addition going to Manchester United.

"The thing with this transfer though is that I feel that with Ashley Young has been very good on the left-hand side of defence. Rose, five years younger than Ashley Young, so it makes some sense in that regard. Saying that, as of where we are right now, I don't think Danny Rose is an upgrade on Ashley Young."
