Valencia goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand admits he is frustrated at playing second fiddle to Santiago Canizares in the opening weeks of the new season.

The former Stuttgart No1 joined Valencia over the summer, but has failed to dislodge the experienced Canizares from coach Quique Sanchez Flores' first team plans.

"The situation here is different to Stuttgart," said Hildebrand. "It's true I came here to play and I remain confident of my chances."

The German admitted he would seek talks with Flores if the situation dragged on.
