Guus Hiddink is full of praise for his former PSV Eindhoven midfielder Park Ji-sung, now of Manchester United.

The Russia boss said: "I think it is wonderful to see what he has achieved. It's something to be proud of, that everyone at PSV were able to bring a boy from another culture and help him reach his very best.

"I never had doubt about his ability. I knew from my time with South Korea he was a player. At training you could see that too. There were times when you saw his pure class.

"I remember Philip Cocu once said to me: 'This guy is the real deal'."
