Holland coach Guus Hiddink has slammed Dutch fans jeering Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta.

The Barcelona midfielder was targeted during Holland's win last night by fans still upset with the manner of their 2010 World Cup final defeat.

"At first I did not notice, but when I heard it I asked why and I do not understand, it's a shame," said Hiddink.

"Those who have booed Iniesta are rascals, they should feel sorry for disrespecting such a great person, a great player who deserves respect.

"This is sport, he scored in the World Cup final, but deserves respect."
