Hibernian boss Pat Fenlon has suggested that he may not be able to afford to sign Alan Maybury.
The 33-year old defender has been training with the Edinburgh club recently but Fenlon fears that financial constraints might make it tough to sign him permanently.
"We have had Alan in training for a week," Fenlon told Hibernian TV in relation to the former Leeds United, Heart of Midlothian, Leicester City and St Johnstone full-back.
"He's a great professional and a very, very good player. He's probably someone we could do with around the place.
"Whether we are able to do it at the moment, I'm not too sure with the way things are. So we'll just have to wait and see."
