Now an injury crisis is enveloping the Edinburgh club - new signing Steven Thicot will be out for several weeks.

Paatelainen told the club's official website: "Thicot has injured his thigh muscle and I don't know how long it will take before he is back.

"It looks a bad one and we are probably looking at weeks rather than days."

Fellow recent signings Joe Keenan and David Van Zanten are also struggling after the Kilmarnock defeat. "Joe Keenan and David Van Zanten were just minor injuries. They should be okay for next week."
