Heung-min Son to hand Spurs boost with new deal

Heung-min Son is ready to sign a new contract with Tottenham.

The Daily Express says the South Korean forward is in the final stages of talks about a two-year extension to his current deal, which runs out in 2023.

The 28-year-old is now ready to finally agree terms on a new contract, which has been on the table since September.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is keen to get the deal done to finally provide some good news for his clubs' fans after a horrific 10 days.

The past week-and-a-half has seen the club embroiled in the European Super League fiasco, sack manager Jose Mourinho, and then last weekend lose the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City.

The ESL farce has seen fans calling for Levy and the Tottenham board to quit, with supporters protesting outside the club's stadium.

The news about the popular Son though will though come as a welcome boost to the club.
