Hertha Berlin are intensifying their push for Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius.

Currently on-loan with Besiktas, Karius will be sent back to Liverpool at the end of the season.

BILD says Hertha wish to bring the former Mainz No1 back to Germany this summer and talks are now underway.

Hertha are keen to take Karius on-loan for next season with a permanent option.

In Berlin, Karius would compete with Rune Jarstein (35) for a place between the posts for the coming season. Thomas Kraft's (31) expiring contract is not expected to be extended come June.
