Ander Herrera is set to sign a new deal with Manchester United.

United are keen to offer new terms to Luke Shaw and Herrera amid the growing concern that several first-team stars could leave for nothing, says the Daily Star.

There are 11 players in total who will see their contracts expire this season including David de Gea, Anthony Martial and Juan Mata.

However, there are options to extend many of these deals by an extra year.

Nevertheless, the Old Trafford outfit are not keen on letting players enter the final year of their contracts and being able to negotiate higher deals.

Herrera was resigned to United career coming to an end after falling down the pecking order. But he is now in line to be handed a new deal.
