Kerala Blasters striker Iain Hume has been named the 2014 Hero Indian Super League player of the tournament.
The 31-year old Scotland born Canada international took out the Hero of the League award for his consistent performances for the runners-up of the inaugural ISL season.
Hume scored five goals and provided three assists in 14 appearances for the Blasters who were beaten 1-0 by Atletico de Kolkata in the final in Mumbai on Saturday night.
The former Tranmere Rovers, Leicester City and Preston North End attacker netted 2-1 loss to Kerala on November 21 while also tallying against Pune City (1-0 win), Chennaiyin FC (3-0 win), Chennaiyin again (2-1 loss) and also in the 1-1 draw with the Blasters back on October 26.
Other HeroISL award winners included former Liverpool and Barcelona attacking midfielder Luis Garcia who took out the Most Exciting Player prize after captaining Atletico de Kolkata to the title while the ISL Emerging Player of the League award went to Kerala defender Sandesh Jhingan.
