Hereford United have snapped up Birmingham City youngster Jordan Mutch.

The 17-year-old midfielder has signed for the League Two club until 2 January 2010 on a Football League Youth Loan registration.

Birmingham have given permission for him to be eligible for selection for John Trewick's squad for their FA Cup second round tie at home to Colchester United on Saturday.

Mutch signed a professional deal with Blues, taking him through to the summer of 2011, at the end of April this year and will be looking forward to kickstarting his career at Edgar Street.
