Jason Davidson is determined to force his way into the Australian national team.
The 22-year old left-back, who plays his club football in Holland with Heracles Almelo, was overlooked for the recent friendly with Brazil but now has his sights set on next month's fixture with France in Paris.
Davidson has worked his into Heracles' starting line-up in recent times and is now hoping he can get a chance with the Socceroos ahead of next year's World Cup.
"Of course it would have been good to have got a call for Brazil and I must admit I had got my hopes up because I'd put a few first team games together," said Davidson.
"I am sure if I keep playing well my time with Australia will come again. The way I see it, if I keep doing what I am doing then I'll get noticed and if that means getting called in for the game against France then I'd be delighted.
"The left-back position with the national team looks to be up for grabs and I feel I can do the job. If the chance comes, then I am ready to go."
