Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has praised compatriot Mathieu Flamini for his recent performances for the Gunners.
The 31-year-old came close to leaving the Emirates Stadium in the summer, but has become crucial to Arsene Wenger's side in the absence of the injured Francis Coquelin.
Henry said in a live Facebook Q&A on Tuesday: "Flamini is doing well at the minute, imagine if Flamini left, and it looked like that was the plan at the beginning of the season.
"Thank god he stayed because look what happened to [Santi] Cazorla and what happen to Francis Coquelin."
Flaming has paired up with Aaron Ramsey to form a solid central midfield partnership for the second-placed Gunners.
