Henen thrilled to make home at ‘big club’ Everton

David Henen was delighted to have signed a permanent deal with Everton on Thursday.

The Belgian winger joined the Toffees on loan from Olympiakos last summer but has now joined permanently on a three-year deal from the Greek giants.

Upon putting pen to paper on his Everton contract, 19-year old Henen admitted it was a great feeling to make his home at Goodison Park.

"I am so happy," he told evertonfc.com. "Everton are a big club and I feel I can develop here.

"For a young player it is the best club because they try to develop youngsters. It is perfect for me."

Henen scored six goals for David Unsworth's U21 side last season and will be looking to impress Roberto Martinez this pre-season as he strives to make an impact on the senior squad.
