Helsingborg keeper Lindegaard admits personal Man Utd frustrations

Helsingborg goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard admits he looks back at his time at Manchester United with frustration.

The Dane felt he was never able to give himself a shot at making it as the club's No1.

"I probably did what was expected of me, but not what I had dreamed of," Lindegaard told The Guardian about his time at United.

"Why? I have concluded that Anders Lindegaard at 100 percent could make a difference. It was not enough to be 90 percent, and I went down to 60 percent - Gd knows how far with the injury.

"I had chaos in my personal life too, which was probably even more significant. If that does not work then you are in trouble. When I joined Preston, I spent up to a year figuring out my life.

"So in Burnley, I dedicated two years to my son, who had been born in December 2012. I brought a child to the world, and that's the most important job. I wish I could have focused 100 percent on football without having to worry about what was going on when I got home.

"But I'm not looking for people's pity."
